Q: How long are your books?
A: All of my novels are full length. They range in length from 80,000 words to 105,000 words. My short stories range from 4,000 words to 8,000 words, so they are very much SHORT stories. Novellas are between 15,000 words and 40,000 words. I will do my best to be sure each novel, novella, and short story is clearly labeled, so you don’t buy something thinking it will be a novel, only to discover it is actually a short story, etc. If anything I write does not conform to these lengths, I will make a note of it.
Q: Will there be more Lord Rotheby’s Influence books? Will Jonas/Nia/Duncan/the Hardwicke siblings/Toby Shelton/fill-in-the-blank have their own stories?
A: The Lord Rotheby’s Influence series will continue, though most or possibly all of the remaining stories will be long novellas and not full novels. I don’t have a schedule as to when they will be written, or what order they will be written in, but I can tell you this. I intend to write stories for Sir Jonas, Nia, Sophie, Charlotte, Richard, and Neil. I’m not certain if any of the other minor characters from the earlier books will have a story or not. At this point in time, I do NOT intend to write a story for Toby Shelton. That’s not to say it won’t happen, but it isn’t in the works. As always, if there are characters you are interested in reading more about, please let me know and I’ll keep it in mind.
Q: Why can’t I find Book XYZ in print?
A: I’m doing my best to be sure as many of my books as possible are available in as many formats as possible. Several of my books are under contract with Second Wind Publishing for print release, and they are available when Second Wind makes them available. For those not contracted with Second Wind, I’m doing my best to get them into print. For some, they are too short to release in print alone and be cost effective. In those cases, I have to wait until such time as I have enough similar stories that I can combine them.
Q: Are the foreign rights for Book XYZ available?
A: Please send any such inquiries to me at email@example.com, and I’ll respond as soon as possible.
Q: If I send you my story idea, will you write it?
A: I’m sorry, but no. As you can see in the answers to the above questions, I have too many story ideas of my own and not enough time to write them. You should try writing it yourself! Who knows, maybe you’ll discover you’re a great writer.
Q: When/where/how can I meet you?
A: Look for the listing of appearances and book signings I’ll be taking part in at the top of my News page. I’ll update as the information comes available.
